Photos
Last week the photos I have been taking over my lifetime including before I was a scrapper was my blessing. Our photos, account for good times and bad. (I have this photo of my daughter I just scrapped where she was visibly stiff while I had my arm around her and rolling her eyes), leisure time, vacations, triumps, fun and silly, with friends and families. Sometimes we take photos and we do not even realize that may be the last time you see the person. I was working on a collage photo frame I had gotten my husband and I was easily able to put my hands on photos of all the family members I wanted to add to the collage. I am also working on a mentor album for those who have impacted my life in a special way and I also did a couple of tribute layouts to a couple of really long-term friends. I was able to include some pictures on those layouts that documented us twenty years old. So last week, (July 10) My photos were what I was grateful for.

Adding a photo ?
OK, I actually got a page completed. When I try to upload my picture, I get a message that my photo is too big. Can anyone walk me through the process? I'm a first timer with this camera and a first timer saving photos to my laptop (I usually just print them out), so be gentle!

The Photo happened.
I got all the appointments ready for the big event....my blessing for the 30th week the 4 generation photo. Saturday morning I got a call from my daughter. She could not find her navy blue pants. (everyone was to wear navy blue pants) could she just wear the navy capris? Sure, I do not think the photo will be of your knees. Then she called back. Should I eat breakfast? I am treating for lunch...it is up to you. Then my mother called to say she fell two days ago and she had a black eye that was the size of half her face. Hmmmm, we will put some make up on it and at least soften the color. Another call this time from my granddaughter. She says, Mom is stuck in construction traffic and we will be a little late. I say OK and give directions around the construction, meet at Great grandma's house instead of mine. I arrive at my mother's. She is not wearing the outfit I told her to wear. I tell her to change. She looks old and small. The bruise is really dark and on almost half her face. Makeup is not going to hide this. I can not reschedule. It is too difficult. Finally my daughter and grandaughter arrive and we then drive to the hair dressers. We have 4 appointments first thing. All get our hair done, everyone else looks better but I look worse. Oh, well. At least my hair is clean.
We have lunch. White table cloth and good food. No one spills anything on their shirts. I am grateful. Finally, we arrive at the photographer. 15 minutes later we are looking at the proofs and picking the photos. It is done. It is a blessing. I am not sure of any second chance for this to ever happen again.....at least not this. So if you have been putting this off to have family or generation pictures...do not put it off another minute. You can do it at home if it is too expensive to do it professionally (although most places have discount packages and/or coupons). It is an investment in your family history and story.
